Police, fire and ambulance calls

12:57 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of people being loud at Whistler Park. They were watching a meteor shower and were asked to be quiet.

1:37 p.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of domestic violence in Hayden.

2:30 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident at Howelsen Park. Juveniles were barbecuing, and one was given a summons for possessing alcohol.

8:01 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a driver tailgating at Mount Werner Road and South Lincoln Avenue.

8:55 a.m. Officers were called to a report of an illegally parked trailer at the Stock Bridge Transit Center.

10:05 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a 1 1/2-year-old who accidentally swallowed a pill. The child was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center as a precaution.

10:32 a.m. Firefighters were called to help a person who fell in the 40300 block of Anchor Way.

10:39 a.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to a report of a fire in the 500 block of Pamela Lane. A dryer caught fire.

12:26 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person in the 1200 block of Hilltop Parkway who had his or her credit card fraudulently used.

12:44 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who heard gunshots in the 400 block of Storm Mountain Court. The source of the shots could not be found.

1:38 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person possibly suffering from a heart attack at Howelsen Hill.

2 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person who suffered a suspected medical problem while tubing the Yampa River. The 73-year-old Iowa man died.

4:23 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a man who fell about 10 feet off a roof in the 1800 block of Ranch Road.

6:43 p.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of an unattended death in the 28000 block of Yellow Jacket Drive. A 54-year-old man died of natural causes.

7:24 p.m. Officers were called to a report of shoplifting in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. A summons was issued.

11:45 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a loud party on Whistler Road. The people were told to be quiet.
