Parents in Routt County don’t have to navigate the child care maze alone. The following are organizations dedicated to helping parents find quality and affordable care for their children:

■ The Newborn Network, 970-879-0977

Have a question about raising an infant? Interested in books and videos about issues facing parents? The Newborn Network serves Routt County families with children as old as 36 months. A support group meets weekly.

■ Child Care Network, 970-879-7330

Sharon Butler and her organization offer free referrals to parents looking for child care. The network also offers parents information on choosing quality child care facilitates as well as educational workshops and seminars.

■ First Impressions of Routt County, 970-870-5270

First Impressions helps secure early childhood and education scholarships from Routt County United Way, the city of Steamboat Springs and Routt County.

■ Horizons Specialized Services, 970-871-8558

Parents who have concerns about their child’s development prior to age 3 can access screening and support from Horizon’s early-intervention program.
