Police, fire and ambulance calls
10:16 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a bear that was trying to cross Lincoln Avenue near 12th Street. The bear crossed and left the area.
10:56 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who was yelling profanities at people in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue. The transient man was given a warning.
11:29 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a car blocking a driveway in the first block of Fifth Street.
11:34 a.m. Officers were called to a report of shoplifting at a grocery store in the 1800 block of Central Park Plaza. A female is suspected of stealing $70 worth of perfume, food and vitamins. She was given a summons to appear in court.
12:39 a.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person who had a plow blade crush his or her toe in Hayden.
12:52 p.m. A found bike was turned in at the police station.
1:28 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bike found in the 2900 block of Village Drive.
1:31 p.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a car that was driving 100 mph down Rabbit Ears Pass. The person who reported it did not want to file a complaint. The driver was contacted but was not speeding and was given a warning.
5:02 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person with a head injury at Walton Creek and Whistler roads.
6:40 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to a report of a possible wildfire at a ranch in the 30000 block of Flying Diamond Trail. It was a controlled burn.
11:45 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a sick person in the 3100 block of Chinook Lane.
