Diane Mitsch Bush (D-Steamboat Springs), Executive Director of Advocates Diane Moore and Advocates board President Robyn Orton.

The Colorado Bankers Association on Monday donated $500 to Advocates Building Peaceful Communities on behalf of state Rep. Diane Mitsch Bush, according to a news release.

Advocates Building Peaceful Communities provides 24-hour crisis response to crime victims as well as a sexual assault prevention program, outreach and peer education services, criminal justice advocacy and a residential shelter.

The money was part of a $1,000 prize awarded to Mitsch Bush through an annual contest that requires legislators to answer a series of multiple-choice questions on a topic of interest to banking. The winning legislator then identifies one or more charities to receive the money. A second $500 check will be presented to The Youth Foundation in Eagle Valley at a later date.
