— Hayden Clean-Up Day is May 4, and town officials will discuss Thursday options for allowing residents to drop off lumber.

The Town Council will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Hayden Town Hall for a work session and reports from staff members. The regular meeting starts at 7:30 p.m.

In previous years, the town has been able to burn the lumber dropped off by residents during Clean-Up Day. Fire danger prohibited that last year, and now air quality concerns are keeping the town from burning the lumber.

The Town Council will discuss whether to charge residents $5 to $20 to drop off lumber. The town then would dispose of the lumber at the Milner landfill.

In addition to Clean-Up Day logistics, the Town Council will discuss water rights related to a pond at the Lake Villages subdivision. The council also is scheduled to go into executive session to discuss a personnel matter.
