Mark Andersen: Great 50 years

The Yampa Valley Community Foundation would like to congratulate Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp. on 50 outstanding years of operation and, more importantly, thank them for their exceptional philanthropic efforts supporting our community. With a multitude of celebrations and events every year, we often lose sight that Ski Corp. is one of the greatest philanthropists in the Yampa Valley.

During the past eight years, Ski Corp. has contributed more than

$1 million annually to the local community through partnerships with numerous charitable organizations. Their generosity stretches wide and helps improve the quality of life for many throughout the Yampa Valley. The Community Foundation administers charitable funds on behalf of the ski area distributes grants into the local community in the areas of arts and culture, education, environment, health and human services and recreation.

It is an honor for our organization to work in partnership with the ski area to build a healthy and vital community through the power of philanthropy. As this winter season comes to a close and we share memories of the gifts of skiing and riding in Champagne powder, we wish to also thank Ski Corp. for their many gifts to our community.
