The Tread of Pioneers Museum will be closed from Sunday through April 29. It will reopen April 30 with normal business hours of 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
Meeting Thursday to tackle local workforce solutions
The Northwest Colorado Workforce Investment Board will discuss local workforce solutions at its meeting from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Human resource professionals and business owners or managers who are interested in getting involved are invited to network and learn more about workforce and economic development. Auditions for Piknik Theatre Festival slated for May 4, 5
Auditions for the 2013 Piknik Theatre Festival will be from 4 to 6 p.m. May 4 and 5 at the Depot Art Center. No preparation or prior experience is required, though prospective cast members are encouraged to bring material that shows them at their best. Those who are interested can attend either day for a few minutes, and auditions will be held on a first-come, first-served basis. There also are opportunities for costumers and stage managers.
The Piknik Theatre season runs from June 3 to July 28, with free, outdoor, evening performances from July 12 to 28. The two productions for 2013 include a Shakespeare play and an original musical comedy created during the rehearsal process. First Steps seminar set for 6 p.m. Wednesday
A First Steps seminar for those who are interested in starting a small business is from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the new Academic Center, Room 127, at Colorado Mountain College. The free seminar will help attendees answer the following questions:
Who are my customers, why do they want/need my product/service and how many are out there? How do I build a revenue/sales forecast? How much money will I need to start a business and how do I build a monthly expense budget? What is the forecast for profit/loss my first two years? What are the sources of funding for my business and what do they require? What resources are available to help me with the planning process?
