Steamboat Springs At its 6 p.m. Thursday meeting, the Oak Creek Town Board will offer feedback on the language of three ordinances.
The proposed ordinances would permit tastings at retail liquor stores and drugstores and modify the fee schedule for liquor licenses; allow the board to adopt fees for medical marijuana by resolution rather than ordinance; and remove Town Board approval and fee requirements for keeping chickens.
The board would not take action on the final language of any of the ordinances until May 9. A resolution about the fees for medical marijuana would be presented at the same meeting.
Under the proposed ordinance, tastings would require the approval of the town and be subject to a $100 fee. According to town communication, a retail liquor store and a drugstore have requested action on the allowance of tastings.
After they're introduced, notice of the ordinances must be published at least 10 days before the board takes action May 9.
Also at Thursday's meeting, the Town Board will be asked to recognize April as Month of the Young Child in Oak Creek and support Routt County's funding application to the Colorado Department of Transportation for Routt County Road 14 improvements.
