— Glenwood Springs recorded its first win of the season Friday at the expense of Steamboat Springs, 55-12.

“It’s been tough so far, but we had the focus and determination tonight,” Glenwood senior slot back Auston Tribble said. “Now we have to keep working hard and take it a game at a time.”

Tribble scored a trio of touchdowns, with junior running back Henry Hill tallying three scores to pace the Demons. Hill rushed for 173 yards in three quarters of work.

“It was full-go tonight,” Hill said. “Our line played great. All the glory goes to them.”

Glenwood lineman Logan Holmberg, a 6-4, 250-pound senior, said the early losses made the Demons extra-hungry Friday night.
