Steamboat Springs The Steamboat area could see some precipitation at higher elevations Monday, but the city is poised to have its best shot at rain Tuesday, according to Travis Booth with the National Weather Service in Grand Junction.
Booth said the chances for Steamboat to see showers and maybe a thunderstorm increase as Monday night moves into Tuesday morning. The moisture could continue into early Wednesday morning, but the area should dry out by the afternoon and stay that way heading into the weekend.
Could cover should keep overnight lows in the mid to upper 40s during the early part of this week, but as the area drys out, lows will drop into the 30s.
Steamboat's projected high for Monday is 84 degrees with an overnight low of 48.
