Police, fire and ambulance calls
1:02 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a bear in the 1700 block of Alpine Vista Court. It could not be found.
5:04 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of an injured deer near mile marker 16 on Routt County Road 33. It was gone when deputies arrived.
5:05 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person having chest pain in the 2600 block of Downhill Drive.
9:42 a.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help with a natural gas leak in the 700 block of Amethyst Drive.
11:21 a.m. Officers helped a person with directions in the 900 block of Steamboat Boulevard.
11:34 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who found a bullet and bullet hole in their home Aug. 29. It appeared to have been fired from a handgun. The homeowner was not home for much of August and did not know when the shot might have been fired.
1:16 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help an elderly person who fell and hit his or her head in the first block of East Logan Avenue.
4:09 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a car that smelled of marijuana and was traveling to Steamboat from Colorado Highway 131. It could not be found.
4:55 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a car with open doors on C.R. 45. A hunter had forgotten to close the doors.
6:24 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car damaged by an unknown car in the 900 block of Weiss Drive.
9:11 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of an illegal burn in the 33200 block of Emerald Meadows Drive. People were having a fire in a fire pit, and they were told to inform authorities in the future when they planned to have a recreational fire.
9:13 p.m. Officers were called to a report of drug activity at Colorado Mountain College. A summons was issued to a person for possession of marijuana.
9:17 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person in a car who was following around bears in the Cypress Court area.
10:59 p.m. Officers were called to a report of people being loud near Bear and Hunters drives. It was quiet when officers arrived.
