— Police are investigating the death of a 37-year-old Steamboat Springs man who was found dead in a home Monday night.

Steamboat Springs Police Department officers and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to the West Acres Mobile Home Park at about 9:30 p.m. Police Capt. Jerry Stabile said a family member found the man unresponsive, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Routt County Coroner Rob Ryg did not want to release the man’s name Tuesday because family members still were being notified.

Ryg said an autopsy would be performed Wednesday or Thursday to help determine a cause of death. Toxicology tests also will be performed to determine whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the death.

Police said they don’t suspect foul play, but they would not speculate as to the potential cause of the man’s death.
