The Artists’ Gallery presents the "One Plus One Show.” Gallery artists will share their space with an artistic partner — a mother, a daughter, an artist friend, a serious artist. Small works gallery: Artists display the sketches used to develop a finished piece.

An eclectic collection of functional artwork by local artisans. This month's featured artists: Chris Bradley, a contemplative woodworker whose company makes a wide variety of home furnishings primarily in beetle-killed pine, and Sharon Dwinell, who hand weaves tapestries employing a variety of fibers, beads, bells and other findings, each piece a unique mixture of texture and sound. www.steamboatartworks.com.

Kelli Poole is a young artist working in Steamboat who is inspired constantly by her surroundings. She is a contemporary artist painting traditional wildlife subject matter with contemporary color palettes and mark making. Her current work explores animal interaction of Northwest Colorado species.

Local artist and art teacher Susanmarie Oddo will feature her Kidspiration Collection. These one-of-a-kind paintings are inspired by local kids, depicting them as animals and insects. A must-see for kids of all ages that is sure to inspire smiles. Tasty treats will be served at this fun-filled reception, which also features original jewelry from local art teacher and artist Erin Kreis. 5 to 7 p.m.

The Steamboat Springs Arts Council presents “Reconstruction,” an exhibition of artworks created as part of an interactive project wherein regional artists respond to an abstract work by Gregory Block. Each 12-by-12 reconstructed artwork is for sale, and proceeds support visual arts programming.

Lyricology by Demdaco. A variety of artists has taken the most memorable lyrics that people know and love and put them onto canvas with shape and color. Presented as box canvas prints that will adorn the walls of the bookstore through the month of November at Off the Beaten Path Bookstore.

"An L.A. Story”: Browse the work of four L.A. artists whose artworks have been collected from galleries across Los Angeles to be displayed in Steamboat. The Center for Visual Arts represents 35 local artists showing work ranging from fall representational landscapes to contemporary images in all mediums.
