Police, fire and ambulance calls

2:42 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a person who was missing from the 24000 block of Jack Creek Road.

4 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious person in the 2700 block of Downhill Plaza. It was a person delivering newspapers.

4:37 a.m. North Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to a report of a piece of logging equipment on fire at Hahn’s Peak Lake Campground. It is suspected an electrical problem started the fire, and the equipment nearly was destroyed. Damage was estimated at $300,000.

10:13 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who was threatened in the 3800 block of Whistler Road. Two men had gotten into an argument about dogs being off leash. The situation was mediated.

1:33 p.m. Officers were called to a report of harassment in Steamboat. A girl was receiving unwanted text messages from a friend. The friend was told to stop sending the messages.

2:06 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a noninjury accident in the 500 block of Marketplace Plaza.

2:29 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who had received a fraudulent phone call in the 1300 block of Morgan Court.

3:01 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious person in the 700 block of Oak Street. A woman reported that a man walked into her salon and began taking off his clothes. The woman locked herself in the bathroom and called police. The man was located near Soda Creek Elementary School, where he going to pick up his son. The man told police he walked into the salon to take his shirt off because he thought there was a spider in it, and he thought it was inappropriate to take his shirt off in public. The man was told not to return to the salon.

4:45 p.m. Deputies were called to help Colorado State Patrol troopers with a pickup that had slid into an oncoming lane and hit a school bus that had nine children in it near mile marker 28 on Colorado Highway 131. No one was injured, and the driver of the pickup was given a ticket for careless driving.

6:04 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a noninjury accident involving a semitrailer near mile marker 143 on U.S. Highway 40 on Rabbit Ears Pass.

8:30 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear at Pine Grove Road and South Lincoln Avenue. It could not be found.

8:52 p.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a diabetic person in the 200 block of West Washington Avenue.

9:39 p.m. Officers were called to a report of people selling Christmas ornaments in a parking lot in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. The people said they were raising money for a trip to Japan, and they were given a warning.

10:55 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a noninjury accident in the first block of Anglers Drive.
