Annual coat drive seeks to help community members
The annual community coat drive is Friday to Sunday in Steamboat Springs. LIFT-UP of Routt County, Ski Town Cleaners and Colorado Group Realty are sponsoring the drive, which asks residents to donate warm winter coats for adults and children. After cleaning, the coats will be distributed beginning later this month to members of the community via the LIFT-UP Food Bank.
Coats can be dropped off from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday in the Ace at the Curve parking lot; from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Walmart parking lot; and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the parking lot at Third Street and Lincoln Avenue adjacent to Rabbit Ears Motel. Coat drive organizers say there is a particular need for children’s coat this year, and they ask that residents not drop off light jackets.
