Meet candidates at CMC election forum Thursday in Steamboat

Steamboat Springs Some residents already have received their ballots, but another opportunity to meet local candidates before the Nov. 6 election is Thursday night.
The event begins at 5 p.m. in the new auditorium at Colorado Mountain College's Alpine Campus. It kicks off with a meet and greet with food and beverages courtesy of the Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors. The forum will begin at 6 p.m. and is scheduled to go until 8 p.m.
Scheduled to attend are District 1 county commissioner candidates Tim Corrigan and Jim “Moose” Barrows, District 2 county commissioner candidates Tina Kyprios and Doug Monger and House District 26 candidates Chuck McConnell and Diane Mitsch Bush. Colorado Senate District 8 candidates Randy Baumgardner and Emily Tracy are expected to attend, as well.
Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District candidates are not expected to attend. Representatives for those and other candidates unable to attend the forum have been invited to speak on the candidates' behalf.
The forum is being sponsored by the Board of Realtors, Steamboat Pilot & Today, Routt County Democratic Party and the Routt County Republican Party.
