Police, fire and ambulance calls
12:27 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a loud party in the first block of Park Place. A warning was given.
6:56 a.m. Officers were called to a report of renters parking too many cars on Meadow Lane.
7:10 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person who fell in the 1500 block of Moraine Circle.
8:30 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a car missing from the 800 block of Yampa Street. It was located.
8:38 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a person who received a phone scam in the 37100 block of Routt County Road 179.
8:57 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a car blocking a driveway in the 100 block of Ninth Street.
9:22 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a screwdriver that had been found in a car tire in the 2000 block of Curve Plaza.
9:52 a.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person who fell in the 2700 block of Après Ski Way.
10:37 a.m. Deputies were called to a report of trespassing on C.R. 80.
12:12 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a Rolex watch found in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue.
1:58 p.m. Deputies were called to help a family from out of state locate a family member who may be in the Steamboat area. The family had not heard from the person in five months.
4:10 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue. Two friends were having an argument at a hotel.
6:17 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken driver at 11th Street and Lincoln Avenue. The car could not be found.
6:26 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a porcupine stuck in the wheel well of a car in the 2000 block of Curve Plaza.
6:36 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a family that was hiking in the Fish Creek Falls area and encountered two males they thought were suspicious. They could not be found.
8:29 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a dead deer near mile marker 123 on U.S. Highway 40. It could not be found.
8:38 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to investigate smoke in the 500 block of Ore House Plaza. The smoke was coming from a fireplace that was not working correctly or was being used incorrectly.
8:50 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a fight in the 300 block of Anglers Drive. The fight was broken up, and no charges were filed.
9:40 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who was complaining about fireworks in the 300 block of Kelhi Court. The fireworks were legal.

Well, with the screwdriver gone then what other option than to stick a porcupine into the tire?
