Steamboat briefs: Deadline to register to vote in 2012 election is Tuesday
Those who are not registered to vote can do so at www.govotecolorado.com if they have a Colorado driver’s license or ID card. People who don’t have the required forms of ID or don’t want to use the website can register at the Routt County Clerk and Recorder’s Office in the Routt County Courthouse in downtown Steamboat Springs.

Well, we’ve had our first frost and the plants are retreating into their shells, so to speak, to weather our cold winter. While plants that grow here generally are pretty hardy and designed to withstand our cold winters, we can make the winter easier on them by providing a blanket of mulch.
