Man killed in Thursday night crash in South Routt County identified

Steamboat Springs — After contacting family Saturday, Routt County Coroner Rob Ryg was able to release the identity of the 72-year-old Denver man killed in a car crash Thursday night in South Routt County.
Ryg identified the man as Robert Bratz. He was pronounced dead at the scene and was a passenger in the 1998 Ford Crown Victoria that rolled near mile marker 28 on Colorado Highway 131. He was not wearing a seat belt and had been partially ejected through the windshield.
The driver, 55-year-old Mark Hendrixson, of Brighton, was wearing a seat belt and seriously was injured in the crash. He was transferred to a Denver hospital, and Ryg said he is expected to live.
