Police, fire and ambulance calls

1:43 a.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to a report of a car on fire near mile marker 111 on U.S. Highway 40. An older-model Mercedes-Benz had an oil leak and the fire was out when firefighters arrived.

6:33 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a bear in the 2300 block of Après Ski Way.

10:23 a.m. A person in the 200 block of Howelsen Parkway discovered a bag they thought contained cocaine and turned it in to police.

10:52 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a reckless driver at Fish Creek Falls Road and Tamarack Drive. A warning was issued.

11:06 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a disturbance in the 2600 block of Longthong Road. A person was refusing to leave a condo. The person was given a ride to Central Park Plaza.

11:27 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bike stolen from the 700 block of Yampa Street.

11:33 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of vandalism in the 38900 block of Mud Alley in Milner.

2:18 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a suicide attempt near Steamboat.

3:09 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a dog barking in the 3100 block of Willowbrook Court. A warning was issued.

4:41 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a noninjury accident near mile marker 44 on Colorado Highway 131.

5:26 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a reckless driver near mile marker 48 on Colo. 131.

7:02 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a person missing in the area of the Gold Creek Trail in North Routt County. The person was found walking to his or her car.

7:27 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a person who was threatened in the 33800 block of Routt County Road 43A near Steamboat. It was a misunderstanding between neighbors.

7:32 p.m. Colorado Division of Parks and Wildlife officers were called to a report of a bear in the 2300 block of Après Ski Way.

7:37 p.m. Officers stopped a car at Mount Werner Circle and Mount Werner Road for not signaling and arrested the 52-year Steamboat driver on suspicion of DUI. The 40-year-old Steamboat passenger was arrested on suspicion of violation of a protection order and possession of drug paraphernalia.

9:33 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 100 block of East Main Street in Oak Creek.

10:35 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who found a street sign in the first block of Eighth Street.

11:10 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who heard someone outside his or her home in the 400 block of Alpine Court. It was a bear.
