- Steamboat Pilot & Today, 1901 Curve Plaza, Steamboat Springs
Steamboat Springs All four candidates running for the Routt County Board of Commissioners as well as the two candidates vying for the Colorado House District 26 seat will attend an informal meet and greet for voters from 7 to 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Steamboat Pilot & Today offices in west Steamboat.
The candidates are attending the newspaper’s monthly Coffee and a Newspaper community gathering in the Pilot & Today’s conference room. Residents are encouraged to stop by at their convenience anytime during the two-hour event. There will be free coffee and breakfast pastries.
“With early voting just three weeks away and mail ballots hitting post office boxes in just two weeks, we felt this month’s Coffee and a Newspaper was a great opportunity to invite the candidates in to meet with residents and answer questions about their candidacies,” Pilot & Today Editor Brent Boyer said.
Scheduled to attend are District 1 county commissioner candidates Tim Corrigan and Jim “Moose” Barrows, District 2 county commissioner candidates Tina Kyprios and Doug Monger, and House District 26 candidates Chuck McConnell and Diane Mitsch Bush.
The gathering will not be a traditional candidates forum but rather a chance for residents to meet the candidates and ask them questions in an informal atmosphere. The Pilot & Today office building is at 1901 Curve Plaza, between Cook Chevrolet and Ace at the Curve. For more information, call Boyer at 970-871-4221 or email bboyer@SteamboatToday.com.
