Enduro bike series won't return to Steamboat
Friday, November 16, 2012
Steamboat Springs Steamboat Springs played host to one of the Big Mountain Enduro Cup’s inaugural events last summer, but it was announced Friday that the town wouldn’t get a second go-round with the event in 2013.
The Buff Pass Enduro was a disappointment numberswise, attracting 53 riders for a race from the top of Buffalo Pass to the base of Steamboat Ski Area. Officials at the time said they were expecting to return, but the series recently was sold, and the new administration released a schedule Friday without Steamboat.
The series will kick off June 29 and 30 in Crested Butte, stop in Keystone on July 6 and 7, Durango on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 and Moab on Sept. 28 and 29.
