Police, fire and ambulance calls

1:16 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a man who refused to pay for a cab ride and then threatened the driver with a knife in the 2100 block of Resort Drive. A 20-year-old Steamboat man was arrested on suspicion of theft, menacing and possession of a dangerous weapon.

8:19 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of damaged property in the 20500 block of Routt County Road 16 near Oak Creek. A horse had gotten out of control and broke a neighbor’s fence.

11:52 a.m. Officers were called to a report of ski equipment taken from an unlocked car at Steamboat Springs High School.

1:24 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a cellphone stolen from a gym in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.

2:17 p.m. Officers were called to a report of teenagers who possibly were spray painting a bus stop at Third Street and Lincoln Avenue. The report was unfounded. The teens had aerosol cans, but they were not paint.

2:18 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of an all-terrain vehicle stolen from near Forest Service Road 500 in North Routt County.

2:30 p.m. Officers were called to check on the welfare of a man in the 2400 block of Lincoln Avenue. The case was referred to mental health professionals.

2:45 p.m. Officers were called to check on the welfare of a person in the 900 block of Mountain Village Circle. A 21-year-old Steamboat man was arrested on suspicion of violating a restraining order.

4:29 p.m. Officers were called to a report of construction material leaking into a storm drain in the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue.

5:17 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a noninjury accident in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue.

5:33 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who was bitten by a dog in the 300 block of Third Street. The woman went to Yampa Valley Medical Center, and the dog was taken to the animal shelter.

7:39 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a noninjury accident near mile marker 6 on Colorado Highway 134.

7:49 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a $10,000 ring stolen from a resort in the 900 block of Pine Grove Circle.

8:34 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a doggy door damaged in the 1600 block of Cornice Court.
