Routt County Pioneer Picnic set for June 10

Steamboat Springs — Sons and daughters of the pioneers of Routt County are reminded that this year’s picnic has been scheduled for 12:30 p.m. June 10 at the Steamboat Springs Community Center.
“This is an important time to renew old acquaintances while making new friends and sharing old stories,” organizer Jo Semotan said. “Everyone is invited to join the pioneers, including longtime residents and newcomers.”
Beef and drinks will be provided. Tradition calls for every family to bring a covered dish to share, their own dinnerware and a cup or glass.
Parents and grandparents are encouraged to bring children to help celebrate the historic occasion.
