Steamboat Springs — The Steamboat Tennis Association in cooperation with the U.S. Tennis Association will host a Tennis Block Party on Sunday. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tennis Center at Steamboat Springs.
“It’s just to get the community information about all the programs this summer and a celebration for the town,” said Bill Krueger, president of the STA. “We want to get more people out there to see the facility. A lot of people don’t know it’s a public facility. So it’s really to get people ready to check out the facility and see what programs they might be able to get into.”
The event will feature a free barbecue lunch, free tennis drills, free play and quick-start tennis for children. There also will be information on tennis leagues, lessons, teams, drop-ins and tournaments.
