Steamboat Springs Willis Wodnik, owner of Colorado Event Rentals, has been named executive director of Steamboat Mountain Village Partnership, according to a news release.
“The Mountain Village Partnership organization has come a long way since its inception, and Willis’ expertise will help continue the positive momentum and guide new programs and events for the future,” Mountain Village Partnership President Katie Brown was quoted as saying in the release. “With the unveiling of the promenade in the ski resort base area this summer, the mountain village looks to leverage opportunities around this tremendous community asset.”
Willis has more than 10 years of experience with party and event planning, and his responsibilities include event management, fundraising, recruitment and communication for the Mountain Village Partnership.
New and continuing events are planned for summer, including Two Wheel Tuesdays starting July 3 and the fourth annual OktoberWest from Sept. 21 to 23. Other events will include bike-in movies, theme nights, live music and more.
Mountain Village Partnership is a business organization with more than 30 member businesses that was created to encourage base area visitation.
