Brentt Gabel jumped 38-1 to take sixth place in the triple jump to lead the Hayden Tigers at the Mickey Dunn Invitational in Grand Junction last weekend.
Aubree Haskins, who was ninth in the women’s shot put and 16th in the women’s discus, also had a strong weekend for the Tigers in Grand Junction.
Other Tigers racing into the top 20 included Savannah Williams, who was 13th in the women’s 1,600-meter run; Cassidy Holmes, who placed 17th in the women’s shot put; and Jorge Valdez, who was 18th in the men’s triple jump.
The Tigers will be off until April 14, when they return to the track at Eagle Valley.
