— Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club and U.S. Ski Team development ski cross athlete Brant Crossan finished fifth on Tuesday at the FIS Junior World Ski Championships.

Competing against more than 50 skiers in Valmalenco, Italy, Crossan just missed the finals.

Still, he was the top American finisher.

The freestyle skiing Junior World Ski Championships continue Friday with a pair of moguls events.
