Market for trading Tim Tebow not good

— As the Broncos move into the Peyton Manning Era, their next task is finding a trade partner willing to take 25-year-old quarterback Tim Tebow.

Even though he earned performance escalators by beating Pittsburgh in the playoffs, Tebow has a trade friendly contract. In 2012, his contract is for $1.1 million, in 2013 he’ll earn $1.055 million and 2014, he’ll earn $895,000. If Tebow takes roughly 40 percent of the snaps in 2012, he would make an additional $11.25 million in combined salaries in 2013 and 2014.

But only $490,000 in 2012 and $232,500 in 2013 salaries are guaranteed.

Cost-revenue, though, is only one aspect. Tebow is no ordinary quarterback, as football fans in Denver and across the NFL learned last season.

Great that Peyton is coming to Denver. Keep Tim! I can not even remember who the #4 {practice squad} quarterback was last year. If they trade Tim, they have last years #4 and a rookie they draft backing up a Great 37 year old quarterback. That is not a good situation. Other alternative is to sign a veteran from somewhere else. Orton and Quinn did not work out too well and that is the quality they would be getting.

While I applaud Tim's heart and effort, I think he just comes up a bit short in raw talent, that inborn ability to judge exactly where the receiver will be when the ball arrives, a rather hurried calculation. I hope he can help some team out, but I can't imagine him being on a Peyton team, their styles being so different.

I don't think Quinn ever got a fair shot, and he has that ability. Ideally he will move up to #2 on the depth chart, and we can trade Tebow for someone who can catch the ball.

I think the Donks bailed on Jake Plummer way too early, waiving him when they drafted the new hope, Jay Cutler, who bailed as soon as he could. What's Jake up to these days? He hasn't been getting beat up on the field. And he can wing a pass.

Rhys I hate to break your bubble but Quinn is now a KC Chief. Orton went to Dallas. Brandon Marshall went from Miami to Chicago. I loved watching Plummer play too. He is hunting and fishing in Montana enjoying himself.
