2012 Adele Dombrowski Award winners named

The Adele Dombrowski Award is given annually to a player from each of Steamboat’s three girls youth hockey age divisions. Kate Verploeg was the U19 recipient, Lena Barker the U16 winner and Abby Vander Graff the U12 honoree.

The Adele Dombrowski Award is given annually to a player from each of Steamboat’s three girls youth hockey age divisions. This year’s winners were announced Sunday.

Kate Verploeg was the U19 recipient, Lena Barker the U16 winner and Abby Vander Graff the U12 honoree.

The award is given to a player from each division who best demonstrates the characteristics of Dombrowski, and avid, enthusiastic hockey player who died in 2005 at age 17.
