Steamboat Art Museum sponsors painting workshop

Routt County Democratic caucuses will be Tuesday

The 2012 Routt County Democratic Party precinct caucuses are at 7 p.m. Tuesday at various locations throughout the county.

Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. The caucuses are an opportunity for registered Democrats to discuss the party platform as well as candidates. Following are precinct caucus locations. Locations also can be found at http://pollingplaces.raiseyourvote.com.

Soroco National Honor Society hosts fundraiser

The Soroco High School chapter of the National Honors Society is sponsoring a barbecue dinner fundraiser for Tanner Tritz and his family from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the school. Tritz has cerebral palsy, and proceeds from the fundraiser will help his family pay mounting medical bills. The cost for the dinner is $7.50 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger. The menu includes pulled pork, smoked chicken, roasted potatoes, coleslaw and homemade pie.

Symphony Orchestra show is Tuesday at library

Steamboat Symphony Orchestra’s “Together in Concert” program is at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Library Hall at Bud Werner Memorial Library. The show features 30 youth and adult musicians under the direction of Ernest Richardson and music from Mozart, Rimsky-Korsakov, Seitz, Corelli and Boccherini. Ice Fishing Tournament is at reservoir Saturday

Guiding company Steamboat Great Outdoors will host an ice fishing tournament from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Stagecoach reservoir. The tournament is limited to 200 adult and 50 youth entries.
