Steamboat Springs The Oak Creek Town Board will host a discussion about the future of law enforcement in the town at 7 p.m. Thursday in Oak Creek Town Hall.
The town has been without a police officer since Officer Lance Dunaway resigned in May. The Town Board plans to review information from the Routt County Sheriff’s Office and provide direction for the town’s next steps.
Also at Thursday’s meeting, public hearings are scheduled for revisions to the town’s personnel policies and procedures handbook and to consider a request by the Historic Society of Oak Creek and Phippsburg to build a new building at Bucket Park.
