Finally. After three straight first-round exits from the playoffs, the Steamboat lacrosse team finally won a playoff game. The team also capitalized on its fourth consecutive Mountain League championship. In that time, Steamboat never has lost a league game, a string of 38 straight games. This year’s team clearly was the best Steamboat has fielded. But it seems we say that every year. Next up is a classification split where the Sailors will find themselves with a huge bull’s-eye on their backs in Class 4A.
