Steamboat briefs: Carly Romick is named to Colorado State dean’s list

Carly Romick, a 2008 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the College of Liberal Arts at Colorado State University. Romick is the daughter of Lance Romick and Tracey Lee Lucas, of Steamboat Springs, and the granddaughter of Jack and Janie Romick, of Oak Creek, and Gwen Lucas, of Australia.

2010 graduates of Hayden High School get diplomas

Wayne Dubs and Dylan Sather, both 2010 graduates of Hayden High School, received diplomas in recreational engines technology from North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, N.D.

Push America cyclists get to Steamboat on Saturday

Push America Journey of Hope cyclists will be arriving in Steamboat on Saturday as they ride across America to raise awareness for individuals with developmental disabilities. Push America awarded Horizons Specialized Services with a $1,000 grant to use toward ski program activities. The 36 cyclists will join Horizons clients for a pizza dinner Saturday.

Girls on the Run founder will be visiting Steamboat

Molly Barker, the founder of Girls on the Run, will be visiting Steamboat Springs on Saturday. She will be in town to attend a lunch with local girls who raised funds for Girls on the Run and also will attend a meet-and-greet for local coaches and the sponsors of the Girls on the Run 5-kilometer race that was held in November. The RSVP deadline for the lunch has passed, but the meet-and-greet is from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at The Steamboat Grand.

Online auction to benefit Haven in Hayden closing

A bow elk hunt offered by Topgun Outfitters is being auctioned with the proceeds supporting the Haven Assisted Living Center in Hayden. The starting bid is $1,500, and bids will increase in $100 increments. Bid at www.havenseniorliving.com/fundraiser. The online auction closes at 5 p.m. today, and the winner will be announced at the Haven Barbecue and Barn Dance on Saturday.
