12:28 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a bear behind a business in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue. The bear was scared away. 12:51 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a possible drunken driver at Ninth Street and Lincoln Avenue. The driver was contacted, and he was sober.

3:52 a.m. Officers were called to a report of domestic violence in Steamboat.

10:33 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a truck operating without a noise reducer in the 3200 block of Willowbrook Court.

2:01 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a two-car, noninjury crash at Lincoln Avenue and Shield Drive.

3:44 p.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of harassment. A 33-year-old Steamboat man was arrested on suspicion of being a fugitive of justice.

3:57 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of two people arguing on Routt County Road 14.

5:16 p.m. Juveniles came to the police department and reported seeing someone riding a stolen bike.

5:22 p.m. Officers located a homeless man at the Seventh Street bus stop and issued him a trespass notice. A downtown building owner had complained about the man coming in to use the bathroom.

5:47 p.m. Officers were called to a report of harassment at Fifth Street and Lincoln Avenue. A driver reported raising his hands when the he had to stop for pedestrians who were jaywalking, and one of the male pedestrians slapped the hood of the man’s car.

6:07 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a driver who reported bumping a cyclist while pulling onto Lincoln Avenue from 13th Street. The female cyclist was fine and did not want to report the incident.

7:29 p.m. Colorado State Patrol troopers were called to a report of a two-car, injury crash near mile marker nine on C.R. 129. The driver of one of the cars was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center and treated for a broken kneecap. The driver of the other car, a 24-year-old Steamboat man, was arrested on suspicion of felony vehicular assault, careless driving, driving without a valid license and DUI.

8:20 p.m. Officers were called to a report of cyclist who collided with another cyclist who was speeding down Spring Creek Trail. No one was injured, and the cyclist at fault said he was going to pay for the damage to the other rider’s bike.

8:27 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who had a bonfire in the 300 block of Old Fish Creek Falls Road.

9:15 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a noninjury motorcycle crash in the 3600 block of Lincoln Avenue.

10:48 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a mother bear and two cubs that had gotten into a bear-proof trash can in the 300 block of Short Street. The bears were gone when officers arrived.

10:55 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a loud party in the 100 block of Hillside Drive.

11:07 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear in trash in the 3200 block of Village Drive. It was gone when officers arrived.
