Happy Father’s Day to all those great dads.

Happy birthday wishes to Ernie Archuleta, Randy Delay, Todd Kelton and Hunter Hatcher.

The Routt County Cattlemen will be having its barbecue at 5 p.m. Sunday at Saddleback Ranch. This is a family affair, so head on over for a great meal. The cost is $20 for adults and $10 for kids.

The third annual Barbecue and Barn Dance fundraiser will be Saturday at the Haven Community Center. Dinner starts at 6 p.m. and the band Loose Change will start playing at 7 p.m. There will be a silent auction, and you can bring the whole family for an evening of fun. Dinner is $40 for a family, $15 for adults, $20 for a couple and free for children younger than five. Call Karen at 970-875-1888 for more information.

The Hayden Heritage Weekend will be July 7, and there are several activities going on.  There will be a tour of the Elkhead Schoolhouse on July 7 with author Dorothy Wickenden. There is a discount for residents of the Yampa Valley at $75. The tour includes lunch, a shuttle and presentation. Send your check, name and a contact number to Hayden Heritage Center, P.O. Box 543, Hayden, CO 81639, or drop it off at the museum from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. The deadline is July 1. The Solandt Memorial Hospital also will be open on that day from 1 to 4 p.m., and everybody is welcome to come see the improvements that have been made to the building.
