Volunteers sought for bike trail workday at Steamboat Ski Area

Volunteers work on Rotary Trail during last weekend’s Routt County Riders trail workday. The next workday is Saturday at Steamboat Ski Area.

— Routt County Riders’ trails committee will lead its fourth workday of the summer at Steamboat Ski Area on Saturday. Volunteers are needed to assist with the trail maintenance projects and should meet at 9 a.m. at Knoll Parking Lot for transportation to the work area on the upper trails. Volunteers may bring their bikes to ride down at the end of the workday.

Tools will be provided. Volunteers should wear sturdy shoes and bring work gloves, a backpack, sunscreen, a hat and water. Following the work session, volunteers can enjoy lunch provided by Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp. and beverages donated by seasonlong Trail Days sponsor New Belgium Brewing at about 1 p.m. RSVP to trails@routtcountyriders.org or by calling Marko at 970-846-9795 by noon Thursday.
