All lunches are served at noon. There is a recommended donation of $3 per lunch for those 60 and older and $6 for those younger than 60. Sign up for Grand Futures Adventure Scavenger Hunt

Grand Futures Prevention Coalition is holding an Adventure 5K Scavenger Hunt on June 9 in Steamboat Springs. Registration and check-in is from 8 to 9 a.m. at Steamboat Springs High School, and the race starts at 9 a.m. The event is geared toward families but is open to all. Register for $50 per team of four. Teams can vie for prizes, including one for best costume. Proceeds benefit Grand Futures, which works toward preventing substance use in youths. Free fishing weekend held today, Sunday across state

The Colorado Division of Parks and Wildlife hosts a free fishing weekend today and Sunday. Anglers are not required to have a valid fishing license during this weekend, according to a news release. Although no fishing license is required during free fishing weekend, all other regulations remain in effect, including bag and possession limits and restrictions on bait in certain waters. Anglers should consult the 2012 Colorado Fishing brochure at www.wildlife.state.co.us/RulesRegs/RegulationsBrochures for regulations and restrictions.

Depot Art Center parking lot closed through Friday

The city of Steamboat Springs and contractor Native Excavating are replacing an old water main and repaving the Depot Art Center parking lot. The parking lot is expected to be closed through Friday.

There will be one-lane road closures at the 13th Street Bridge starting Monday. Because of a narrow lane width, Native Excavating asks that semitrailers and vehicles carrying large loads use Shield Drive off of U.S. Highway 40 to access 13th Street.

Clinic to be held for those interested in fair royalty

A free Routt County Fair Royalty Clinic for girls ages 8 to 18 is July 6 at the Routt County Fairgrounds in Hayden. Sessions will include horsemanship, commentary, representation and more. Egeria Park Roping Club accepting memberships

VNA offers birth control, screenings for women

The Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association’s Women’s Health Clinic is offering low-cost birth control, STD screenings, pap smears, breast exams and general women’s health care based on income. Local groups reach out to returning service members

The Routt County Veterans Affairs, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4264 and American Legion Post 44 in Steamboat would like to meet and greet local sons and daughters returning from military service. Volunteers needed for Habitat appliance store

Visiting Nurse Association offers vaccination reminder
