— Steamboat Springs and Canadian Olympic swimmer Blake Worsley won his heat of the 200-meter freestyle swim early Sunday but just missed making the afternoon semifinals.

Swimming in Heat 3, Worsley finished in 1 minute, 48.14 seconds. His time was good enough to win the heat. Heats 4, 5 and 6, however, featured the fastest swimmers. Worsley finished 17th overall, one spot out of qualifying for the semifinals.

China’s Yang Sun was the top qualifier, finishing in 1:46.24. United States swimmer Ryan Lochte was second in 1:46.45.
