The Hayden Public Library proudly announces the seventh Reader of the Week in the annual Summer Reading Program.
Kiera Faucett, 4, of Hayden, was chosen as this week’s reader. She will be in preschool next year. Kiera comes to the library with her grandmother Kathy and has been a loyal story-hour kid. She has one sister, Kali Jo, who is 10. Her parents are Austin Faucett and TJ Weiss. Kiera’s dad, Austin, was named Reader of the Week in the 1980s.
Kiera has lived in Hayden all her life. She likes to play with her friends Natty and Tia. She says she wants to become a librarian when she grows up.
Her favorite colors are blue, purple and pink. Her favorite food is macaroni and cheese. She likes the movies “Strawberry Shortcake” and “Franklin the Turtle.” She enjoys reading, coming to the library, playing with Natty and riding her bike. She also enjoys watching her sister play soccer. Her favorite book is “Double Pink,” by Kate Feiffer. Kiera loves the book “so much” that she even knows where it is shelved in the library. In April, Kiera went to Mexico with her grandparents and also goes camping at Steamboat Lake. Kiera has a dog named Chloe and two cats named Sheeba and Coco.
Kiera said she was “happy” when she found out she was chosen as Reader of the Week.
As the Reader of the Week, Kiera gets to choose the food for the end of Summer Reading Party. Kiera chose to make hot dogs.
