Ace at the Curve employee Julia Pollock is fighting a rare form of terminal cancer.

— As Ace at the Curve employee Julia Pollock fights a rare form of terminal cancer, she is receiving support from her family, coworkers and a famous NFL quarterback.

“She’s the biggest trooper you can ever see in your life,” co-worker Debra Weber-Kemmsies said Monday. “She endures so much pain, and she always wants to know how we’re doing.”

A garage sale fundraiser for Pollock on Saturday in the Ace parking lot netted $1,242 in four hours.

Pollock, who worked as a manager at the hardware store for five years, is now at home with her parents in Brighton.

In addition to the support from her co-workers, Pollock, an ardent Pittsburgh Steelers fan, also received a personalized video of support from Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Donations still can be made to Pollock at Ace at the Curve, Alpine Bank, Steamboat Tattoo, Ski Town Cleaners, Arctic Liquor, Bamboo Market, Deja Vu Boutique, Johnny B. Good’s Diner and the Kum & Go at Curve Plaza.

“We’re just praying for a miracle,” Weber-Kemmsies said. “She’s just so sweet.
