Steamboat Symphony Orchestra season tickets are now on sale. Full season tickets provide riser-row seating at Aug. 18, Dec. 1 or 2 and Feb. 10 performances and are priced at $150. Premium season tickets include those three performances as well as the Meet the Maestro event Aug. 19 for $240. Slater Creek and Chicken Creek bridges to be closed

The Slater Creek and Chicken Creek bridges will be closed for about five weeks while crews work to replace the bridge. There will be no detour. For more information, call the Routt County Road and Bridge Department at 970-879-0831.

Vacation Bible school starts Saturday at Hayden church

Hayden Congregational Church and Mission of Grace Baptist Church are hosting a vacation Bible school from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday to July 20 at Hayden Congregational Church. Rocky Mountain ecology course planned for August

Yampatika is offering a course about Rocky Mountain ecology through Colorado Mountain College’s Alpine Campus. School supply drive looks for donations for youths

Staples and www.dosomething.org are teaming up for the Staples for Students national school supply drive, which locally encourages Steamboat Springs youths to collect school supplies and drop them off at Staples through Sept. 15, according to a news release.

All donated school supplies will be given to the Boys & Girls Club of Northwest Colorado in time for the new school year.

Forest Service roads are closed near Gore Pass

Portions of Forest Service Roads 243 and 250 in South Routt County will be closed through Aug. 3 during culvert replacement projects on Farnham Creek and Gore Creek. Portions of Forest Service Road 225 also will be closed from July 23 to Aug. 10 for culvert replacement projects on Shoe Creek and Stocking Creek.
