Steamboat briefs: Friday last day to register for 4 Yellow discount
Wednesday, July 4, 2012
Friday is the last day to register for the 2012 Ride 4 Yellow at the discounted price of $75. Beginning Saturday, registration will increase to $100.
Ride 4 Yellow, entering its third year, is a mountain bike ride that serves as a fundraiser for local cancer initiatives as well as Livestrong’s global cancer-related efforts.
The ride is limited to 200 participants, who on July 28 will ride 26 miles of singletrack trail from Dumont Lake on Rabbit Ears Pass to the summit Mount Werner and down to the base of Steamboat Ski Area.
Each rider commits to raising at least $250, half of which will be granted to Yampa Valley cancer causes and half of which will go to Livestrong. A post-race party with food and drinks is at Slopeside Grill.
