— Multiple Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club freestyle moguls skiers recorded top finishes during the weekend in Breckenridge. Steamboat was led by Kira Wright.

Wright finished second in open moguls Saturday and first in dual moguls Sunday.

Also Saturday, Steamboat’s Jaelin Kauf finished fifth on the women’s side and sixth in Sunday’s dual moguls. George DeGrandis led the men Saturday with a fourth-place finish. Stephen Wilson was six, Brad Hoefer was seventh and Skyler Kauf was 10th.

In Sunday’s men’s duals, Wilson got his first Rocky Mountain Division event podium by finishing second. Hoefer was third, DeGrandis was fifth and Kauf was sixth.

The team next competes Friday and Saturday in Telluride.

“It’s going to be a high-level competition with a lot of the best skiers around the country,” Steamboat coach Mike Amatto said. “My expectations are to go down and have the kids ski their best run. I’m assuming we can have some good results down there, as well.”
