Steamboat Springs — The Steamboat Springs High School Nordic team saw improved results Saturday in Eldora, where the girls team finished second and the boys team tied for third.
The 5-kilometer classic race was highlighted by Martha Anderson’s first-place finish. Anderson finished in 18 minutes, 0.7 seconds — more than 27 seconds ahead of Summit’s Claire Anderson.
Hannah Barkey was 11th, Sarah White was 15th and Lesley Myller was 22nd.
On the boys side, Peter White led the way with a sixth-place finish. Jake Barker was 10th, Dane Dixson was 16th and Alec Schaffer was 33rd.
The Nordic team next competes Feb. 4 in Carbondale.
