Steamboat Springs ■ 6:30 p.m. Friday: Sailors (7-5 overall, 2-4 in Foothills Conference) vs. Mullen (5-8, 2-6-1)
■ 3 p.m. Saturday: Sailors vs. Standley Lake (8-3-1, 6-1)
As the Steamboat Springs High School hockey team makes its second-half push, the Sailors encounter two opponents on opposite ends of the Foothills Conference. Steamboat needs to keep winning to have any shot at making the playoffs. A win Friday against Mullen is a must. A win Saturday against Standley Lake — which currently is second in the conference — would open up some eyes. Both games are being played on the Sailors’ home ice.
