Routt County CattleWomen meets at 5 p.m. Thursday at Bud Werner Memorial Library. Attend the meeting if you would like to become a member.
Barbara Bessette, Laurie Hallenbeck and Jeannie Wixson, of Hayden, along with Trish Tomme, of Steamboat, traveled to Walden on Jan. 14 to attend a baby shower for Kellie Green.
The Hayden High School girls and boys basketball teams have had some changes in game schedules. The freshman girls and boys teams playing at home on Tuesday against Moffat County. The games start at 4 p.m. JV and varsity girls and boys play at home against the Soroco Rams on Friday, with games starting at 4 p.m. On Saturday, both boys and girls teams will play at home against the Rangely Panthers, with games starting at 1 p.m. The last game for the month is Jan. 31, when the boys play at 5 p.m. against Vail Christian. The Hayden wrestlers will compete at a home tournament beginning at 5:30 p.m. Thursday with Meeker, Steamboat and Soroco.
Sincere condolences to the family and friends of Doris Knott, 99, of Oak Creek. Knott passed away at Doak Walker Care Center on Jan. 14. Doris was a “Grand Lady” and will be missed by the community. A funeral was held Thursday at South Routt Bible Church.
Treyston Whaley was visiting his Grandma Great (Verna Whaley) on Thursday. His brother Garrett is staying with Jay and Shiloh Whaley.
The Phippsburg Community Center has lots of items for your shopping pleasure. Head on over to the center on Thursdays and check out all the Christmas decorations, trees and more. The center also has great deals on coats, snow clothes, jeans, baby items, pots and pans.
The Soroco Rams basketball teams play at Hayden on Friday. They then will play at home Saturday against Paonia, with the tip-off at 1 p.m. After that, they will play at North Park on Feb. 3, with games starting at 6 p.m.
The Soroco wrestlers will be in Hayden on Thursday with matches starting at 5:30 p.m. They then will be at the Valley Classic Center on Saturday.
The middle school girls basketball teams will play Tuesday in Kremmling against the West Grand Mustangs. The games start at 4:30 p.m. The teams then will play in Craig against the Bulldogs on Thursday, with the games starting at 4:30 p.m. They travel to East Grand on Saturday, with games starting at 9 a.m. Their last game for January is Jan. 31 at home against the Steamboat Sailors, with the tip-off at 4:30 p.m.
