Steamboat snowboarders Baden, Kelly win in Vail

Steamboat Springs — Steamboat snowboarders grabbed a heap of great results Sunday at the Gatorade Free Flow Tour halfpipe competition in Vail.
Nik Baden won the halfpipe on the men’s side and Kirby Kelly won on the women’s side. Baden locked down his spot on top of the podium with a backside 540, frontside 720, switch frontside 720 and frontside 540. Kelly did it starting with a pair of 540s and a McTwist.
Both qualified for the Free Flow Finals in Snow Basin, Utah, in February.
Max Jenson joined them with a podium finish, placing third.
