Steamboat Springs The Hayden High School girls basketball team worked on its frustrations Friday night, bringing a three-game losing streak to a screeching halt with a 70-20 victory against West Grand.
“We implemented some things we want to do later in the season and everyone contributed,” coach Michelle Wilkie said. “That’s what we needed to do to build confidence, to get our momentum going and to make it fun again.”
The Tigers got 22 points from Erin Koehler, 16 from Kelsey Rolando and 12 from Aubree Haskins as seven players scored.
Wilkie said the team focused on applying pressure on the ball and on refining its offense.
Hayden, 6-3, will try to carry that momentum into a 2 p.m. home game Saturday against North Park.
