Steamboat Springs The Soroco High School girls basketball team played its best game of the year Monday, running away with a 55-29 win against Beth Eden.
Soroco (3-2) jumped out early and never really was challenged.
Madison George led the Rams with 21 points. Lindsay Miles added 10 points and held Beth Eden’s best player to eight points.
“I was really pleased with the effort,” Rams coach David Bruner said. “The kids are really playing well together.”
Soroco turned the ball over just 12 times and shot 42 percent from the field.
The team resumes play at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday against the Steamboat Springs junior varsity in Steamboat. Soroco opens league play at 6 p.m. Friday at Rangely.
